Windows 2008 specific

RD Gateway

One of the new features of Windows 2008 Server is the Remote Desktop Gateway role. It enables remote users to connect securely to the corporate servers from the Internet, without the need for a VPN. Read all about it here:

Known issues

  • 2592339 - "0x0000007f" Stop error or system stops responding on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008 when you connect to it by using the RDP protocol
  • 2083411 - Remote Desktop sessions may be disconnected during Group Policy updates in Windows Server 2008
  • 951047 - When you try to use the Terminal Services resource authorization policy to connect to a Windows Server 2008-based computer, the connection may fail
  • 967933 - Error message when a remote user tries to connect to a resource on a Windows Server 2008-based computer through TS Gateway by using the FQDN of the resource: "Remote Desktop Disconnected"
  • 953535 - When many SSL connections are established on a Windows Server 2008-based computer, the computer eventually stops responding because of a memory leak
  • 954398 - A Windows Server 2008 terminal server stops listening on port 3389 when the server is under stress conditions

Windows 2003 specific issues
